This meta‑issue tracks format‑specific advanced features. As of Phase 7 completion:

✅ ZIP encryption (AES‑256, traditional PKWARE) – implemented (#142)
⏸️ ZIP split archives – deferred (#143)
✅ AR thin archives – implemented (#144)
✅ CPIO pass‑through mode for device files – implemented (#145)

ROADMAP.md updated to reflect partial completion (split archives deferred).

Phase 7 is now considered complete with split archives deferred. All other format‑specific advanced features (encryption, thin archives, device pass‑through) have been implemented. The milestone will be closed as‑is.
